Several times when the Honey Pot were playing at the Fruits De Mer and Mega Dodo festivals, people in the crowd would come up to Icarus afterwards to express their appreciation of the music , in particular, his guitar playing. The only disappointment for them was the fact that his solos were so short-lived. Indeed he was feeling that he wasn't always able to feel completely free with the 'Potters', possibly on account of there being two keyboard players filling the sound-space.

His response was to team up with power drummer Brian (Comfy) Rushbrooke and Andy 'Throb' Budge to form a power trio with the blatant mission of showing the world how it's done! A few gigs and a debut album later it became apparant that poor Comfy's hands were not any longer able to cope with the rigors of playing. Naturally enough, the Pot's drummer Jay Robertson stepped-up to the platform and now comfortably occupies the slot.
